Hytolive® is now used in functional foods (including foods and beverages), dietary supplements and cosmetics, including local and multinational companies, big and medium size corporations. Hytolive® brand is increasingly used by our customers.
Genosa networks covers more than 30 countries through local specialized distributors and direct sale.
Hydroxytyrosol is growing in popularity globally. The first endorsement came in 2006 from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) health claim approval: “it contributes to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress”. Later, the use of natural hydroxytyrosol by big companies and the strong marketing and communication efforts made by Genosa, contributed to expand the concept. Of course the growth of scientific and clinical evidence boosted the consumer´s interest.

Some years before, Hagiwara K et al. (“Olive polyphenol hydroxytyrosol prevents bone loss”; Eur J Pharmacol. 2011) indicated that hydroxytyrosol may have critical effects on the formation and maintenance of bone, and that could be used as effective remedies in the treatment of osteoporosis symptoms.
